Crime Stoppers is seeking information about a metal theft. Earlier this month, unknown persons went to Westside Athletic Fields located at 571 North McLean Boulevard and broke into the electrical boxes. The thieves pulled copper wire out of the conduits running between the power source and the field lighting. More than 20,000 feet of wiring was taken weighing approximately 1,200 pounds.

FOR THE WEEK JANUARY 20TH, 2008
Crime Stoppers needs you to help solve a robbery. During the evening of
January 14, 2008, a man was walking home from a restaurant at 17th Street
North and Hillside. When he got to the area of 14th Street North and Volutsia, he
was jumped by five unknown suspects. The robbers punched the victim and
knocked him to the ground. As they continued to punch and kick him, the
suspects took the victim’s cellular phone and wallet. The robbers then left in an
older white four-door car. The victim sustained minor injuries to his back and
head.
All of the suspects are described as black males. Three of them were in their
late teens and were of average height and build. Two of the suspects were in
their thirties and were described as tall with an average build.

FOR THE WEEK JANUARY 13TH, 2008
The Wichita Police Department could use your help. Sometime between the evening of January 4, 2008 and the early morning hours of January 6, 2008, burglars broke into a maintenance building belonging to Wichita Presbyterian Manor located at 4700 West 13th Street North. They had climbed through the rear air conditioning hole to get inside. The thieves took a white Chevy pickup, green Kawasaki maintenance vehicle and several power tools. The loss is estimated at around $15,000.

All three suspects are described as black males in their early 20’s, average
height and slender build. They were wearing black hoodies, black trench coats,
black combat boots and blue bandannas.

FOR THE WEEK DECEMBER 30TH, 2007
You can help police catch some vandals. On the evening of December 24, 2007, unknown suspects decided to play the part of the Grinch by slashing the tires of twenty-six vehicles that were parked in the neighborhood to the north of Reflection Ridge Golf Course. The damage is estimated at more than ten thousand dollars.
