FOR THE WEEK FEBRUARY 3RD, 2007

Wichita Police need your help in solving a robbery. Late in the evening of January 23, 2008, three friends were at a house in the 600 block of North Harding watching a movie. They were expecting another friend to join them, so when they heard a knock at the door one of them casually went to answer it. To their surprise, a stranger was standing there with his hands in his pockets, shivering. The visitor stated that he had a friend with a broken down vehicle and needed some help. The stranger then shoved the homeowner and pulled out a silver colored semi-automatic handgun. The suspect stepped into the house and locked the door. He made the victims empty their pockets and took their wallets, a purse, a cellular phone and an iPod. The victims heard the suspect talk to an accomplice standing outside the house, but they could not see him.

The suspect is described as a black male in his early 20’s, average height and build, with corn rows in his hair. He was wearing a tan and white zip up hoodie and blue jeans.

If you have any information about this robbery or any felony crime, call Crime Stoppers at 267-2111. You can also go to www.wsccs.com and submit a tip online.
