FOR THE WEEK MARCH 30TH, 2008
Crime Stoppers needs your help to solve a robbery. On March 21, 2008 just after midnight, a man was crossing the intersection of 9th Street North and Market in his wheelchair when he was confronted by two other men. One of them threatened to kill him if he did not give them his money, then the other man struck him in the head several times with a baseball bat, knocking him out of his wheelchair. The robbers took a large amount of cash from the victim and ran off in an unknown direction.
Both suspects were described as black males in their late 30’s to early 40’s with an average height and build.

FOR THE WEEK MARCH 23RD, 2008
Crime Stoppers and you can help solve a burglary. Around 11:00 am on March
14, 2008 a man left his residence, leaving his mother-in-law and daughter
napping in the back bedroom. When he returned around 1:00 pm that day, he
found the front and back doors open and several items missing. The mother-in-law and daughter were not harmed, nor had they awoken during the intrusion. The burglars took several electronics, a laptop computer and a safe that contained an expensive diamond ring.

FOR THE WEEK MARCH 16TH, 2008
You can help Wichita Police solve a robbery. Close to midnight on March 6,
2008, an employee of Church’s Chicken located at 3808 East Harry Street was
taking out the trash when they were confronted by a man with a gun. The robber
followed the employee into the restaurant and ordered all three employees there
into the freezer. The employees waited in the freezer for a few minutes then
came out, hoping the robber had left. They found that he had emptied the
registers and left the business.
The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male in his 20’s with a medium
height and build. He was wearing all black hoodie, ski mask and pants that had
“FUBU” on the rear pockets.

FOR THE WEEK MARCH 9TH, 2008
You could help Crime Stoppers solve a robbery. Close to midnight on February 27, 2008, an employee of KFC was getting into his vehicle in the parking lot of 2347 South Seneca with the night deposit when two men came out from behind a shed. The robbers started to grab at the employee who tried to fend them off. One of the men then pointed a gun to the back of his head and told the employee to give them everything he had. The employee complied and the suspects ran off to the north and west.
Both suspects are described as black males in their twenties. They were of average height and build wearing dark clothing.

FOR THE WEEK MARCH 2ND, 2008
The Wichita Fire Department needs your help. From January 10th to February 20th of this year, there have been five fires started by arson in the Hilltop Manor area of southeast Wichita. Four of the fires were started in vacant duplex buildings and one burnt up a vehicle. All the damages combined are estimated at over $57,000.00.
