August 25, 2008 · Leave a Comment

FOR THE WEEK AUGUST 24TH, 2008

Wichita Police need help in solving a robbery.  Around midnight on August 19th, a man and woman were sitting on their porch in the 2300 block of North Piatt.  They saw a white Jeep Cherokee with five black males in it drive down the street then turn around at the end of the block.  The Jeep came back, parked in front of the house and one of the occupants yelled something to the woman.  She walked towards the vehicle and three of the men jumped out and told her to give them her money.  She refused, so they started kicking and hitting her.  One of them yelled at the man still on the porch, but he ran inside.  The suspects took the woman’s Vision card then one of them pointed a gun at her and pulled the trigger, as his buddies urged him on.  Luckily the gun did not fire and the suspects took off.

The woman described one of the suspects as heavy set wearing a dark shirt, another was light skinned and the third was short, wearing a white t-shirt and armed with a black handgun.
