FOR THE WEEK SEPTEMBER 28TH, 2008

Crime Stoppers needs your help.  Sometime between September 19th and September 22nd, a large amount of high explosives were stolen from an aggregate company located in Butler County.  The explosives may be in our area and need to be recovered

CRIME STOPPERS CASE #838

FOR THE WEEK SEPTEMBER 21ST, 2008

Crime Stoppers needs help solving a burglary.  On September 15th, a woman came home in the 2800 block of West Casado around noon to find that someone had broken into her house by prying open the back door of the garage.  Taken in the crime were a computer, jewelry and firearms.  A witness saw a red Chevy S10 pickup backed in the driveway around 8:30 that morning.

CRIME STOPPERS CASE #837

FOR THE WEEK SEPTEMBER 14TH, 2008

On September 7th, in the mid afternoon, a family of eight was shopping at a supermarket in the area of 21st Street North and Amidon when one of the women noticed two Asian males staring at her.  As she and her family walked through the store, she lost sight of the two other men.  The family left the supermarket in two vehicles and were driving east on 21st Street near Arkansas when the same female noticed the two previous men following them in a black Honda CRV.  The Honda continued to follow as they turned south on Broadway.  When they got to 16th Street North, the CRV pulled up beside them and the passenger fired several shots into one of the vehicles and sped off.  Luckily no one was injured by the gunfire.

The first suspect is in his 20’s, average height and build with a bald head.  He was wearing a long sleeve white t-shirt and black jeans.

The second suspect is in his 30’s, average height and build with black hair.  He was wearing a green t-shirt and blue jean shorts.

CRIME STOPPERS CASE #836

FOR THE WEEK SEPTEMBER 7TH, 2008

On August 24th, a man arrived home in the 2700 block of South Oak Street around six in the morning and entered the house from the garage.  As he noticed that his back door was open, a man came up behind him and shoved a gun into his back.  The victim tried to spin around and was shot in his torso.  The suspect dropped the gun and ran out of the house.  Items from the house were found stacked up just outside the back door.

The suspect is described as a white male of average height and muscular build wearing a dark blue shirt, pants and shoes.

CRIME STOPPERS CASE #835

FOR THE WEEK AUGUST 31ST, 2008

Late in the evening on August 22nd, a man was stopped at the intersection of Meridian and Kellogg in his 2002 black Chevy Impala.  An unknown black male walked up to his vehicle and pointed a handgun at him, telling him to get out of the car.  The victim complied with his commands and the suspect drove off in the car to the east.  The vehicle was later recovered at 18th Street North and Madison with damage to its front end.

The suspect was described as being in his early twenties and of average height and build.  He had corn rows in his hair and large diamond earrings.  He was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans, armed with a black semi-auto handgun.
