FOR THE WEEK NOVEMBER 23RD, 2008

Robbery detectives need your help to solve a robbery that occurred November 17th at 7:00 pm.  The manager of Family Dollar located at 1341 North Grove was taking some cash to the safe that is located near the front of the business.  An unknown black male walked into the store with a backpack and told the manager to put the cash into the bag.  He was stunned by this statement so the robber took out a handgun and hit the manager in the head with it.  The manager did as directed then was ordered to empty the registers in to the bag.  The robber made off with the cash running out of the store to the south.

The suspect is described as being in his 30’s with an average height and build.  He was wearing a black jacket with red shoulders and a white stocking cap.  Check out photos of the suspect HERE.

CRIME STOPPERS CASE #846

FOR THE WEEK NOVEMBER 16TH, 2008

We need help catching an arsonist.  On November 4th, a woman came home late in the evening in the 800 block of South Dellrose and smelled gasoline.  She checked the back yard and found her lawn chairs on fire.  The woman tried to put the fire out and then got her children out of the house.  The fire spread to the back of the house as a trail of flames before the fire department arrived to put it out.  Gas cans were found in the yard.

CRIME STOPPERS CASE #845

FOR THE WEEK NOVEMBER 9TH, 2008

Around four in the morning on November 4th, a house in the 13000 block of East Bridlewood Court was broken into.  The mother of the household was awaken when she heard the alarm chime twice like a door was opened.  She went to the kitchen and noticed the door to the garage was ajar.  After shutting it, she heard noises in the basement.  The woman woke her husband and he checked the basement, noticing that items were missing.  From the kitchen the woman saw a dark colored car drive into the cul de sac with its lights off.  While she was talking to the 911 dispatcher the car drove off.

Missing from the house where seven football helmets of professional teams.  A Kansas City Chiefs helmet had Tony Gonzalez’ signature on it and an Oakland Raiders helmet had Kenny Stabler’s signature.  Also missing was a Nintendo Wii game console and an Apple video iPod.

CRIME STOPPERS CASE #844

FOR THE WEEK NOVEMBER 2ND, 2008

Wichita Police are looking for two men that robbed and terrorized a woman and her children in the 1900 block of East Carson on October 27th.  The men were dressed in brown delivery uniforms and forced their way into the house when the woman answered the door.  They took her and the children at gunpoint to a back bedroom and bound her hands with duct tape.  The robbers went through the house looking for money they insisted was hidden there.  After twenty minutes passed by, the suspects left out the back door with the woman’s cellular phone, keys and three handguns.

The suspects were described as Hispanic males in their 30’s.  One was short and the other average height.  They were wearing brown hats, coats and pants that had an unknown green logo on them.
