CRIME STOPPERS CASE #905

FOR THE WEEK FEBRUARY 1ST, 2009

A robber cased a Cold Stone Creamery to make off with some cold hard cash.  In the early morning hours of Monday, January 19th, the owner of the creamery at New Market Square went into the business to get the previous night’s deposit.  When he got back into his car, an unknown man surprised him from the back seat and started punching him in the head.  The victim then felt what he thought was a gun to the back of his head as the robber told him to drive to an apartment complex on 21st Street North west of Tyler Road.  There, the suspect jumped out of the vehicle and ran away with the money.  Surveillance video from another business showed the robber waiting around the corner of Cold Stone and then run to the victim’s vehicle.
