CRIME STOPPERS CASE #1031

FOR THE WEEK AUGUST 1ST, 2010

A man armed with a handgun entered the Flying Cross Convenience Store at 6330 East 21st Street North on Tuesday, July 27th, at around 6:00 am.  He confronted the clerk and demanded the money from the register.  The robber grabbed the cash, stuffed it in his pants pocket then ran out the door.  A witness saw him get into a black late 90’s four-door Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth car driven by a black female.  The witness followed the suspects but lost them in the neighborhood at 29th Street North and Woodlawn.

The suspect is described as a black male with an average height and build.  He was wearing a black t-shirt with “AIR” on the front, gray sweat pants and a black mask.  He may be responsible for the robbery of the Valero gas station at 248 South Hillside earlier that morning due to a similar M.O.
